To maximize our impact, our club aligns our efforts around five critical areas of need. These causes represent some of the most significant challenges facing our community, and we accept the responsibility to meet them head-on.

Our Five Global Causes

Diabetes

• We actively work to reduce the global prevalence of diabetes through targeted community screening, lifestyle education, and support networks.
• Our initiatives focus on early detection and empowering diagnosed individuals to manage their health effectively, drastically improving their overall quality of life.

Vision

• Building on our historic commitment to sight, we strive to prevent avoidable blindness and provide critical care for the visually impaired.
• Through vision screenings, eye bank support, and subsidized treatment programs, we ensure individuals gain or preserve the gift of sight regardless of economic status.

Hunger

• Access to nutritious food is a fundamental human right, yet millions experience chronic food insecurity daily.
• Lions and Leos organize local food drives, partner with community food banks, and fund sustainable meal programs to ensure no individual goes to bed hungry.

Environment

• Healthy communities rely on a healthy planet. We lead hands-on initiatives to protect and restore natural ecosystems.
• From large-scale tree planting to community recycling programs, our members act as stewards to secure a clean, sustainable environment for future generations.

Childhood Cancer

• A childhood cancer diagnosis impacts entire families and communities. We offer dedicated assistance to ensure affected children survive and thrive.
• Our efforts include raising funds for pediatric cancer research, providing logistical support to families during treatment, and creating programs that foster joy and comfort for young patients.
